Community Involvement — Relay for LifeRelay for Life is an annual 14-18 hour overnight walk/run
at a local school track to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
This has become an annual event for JJH. Past teams have raised from
$3,000 to $8,000 with the Relay for Life events bringing in hundreds
of thousands of dollars for cancer research. Some of the event’s
themes have included “Building for a Cure,” “Luau
of Life,” “Racing for a Cure,” “Tricking and
Treating Cancer,” “Constructing for a Cure,” and “Miracle.”
Each year participants put their creative skills to the test and decorate
their sites in line with the theme in the hope of bringing home a prize.
All participants agree, “It’s a fun time for a very worthy
cause.” ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
