Life at JJH

Throughout the year JJH creates opportunities for employees to meet socially and get to know each other outside of work. Some of these events include:

Winterfest: Winterfest is JJH’s way of thanking all their employees, clients, subcontractors and suppliers for a wonderful year. The annual event, held at Kristof’s Entertainment Center in Round Lake Beach, takes place the third Thursday of February and includes games, pool, a buffet dinner and a bowling tournament complete with trophies. The event usually features some form of special entertainment. Past Winterfests’ have included a magician, caricature artists, Las Vegas night, and animal handlers.

Wolf River Rafting Trip: The howl of the Wolf River brings a large group of JJH employees and their families to the River Forest Campground in White Lake, WI for the annual camping/rafting weekend. The event offers an enjoyable and relaxing camping atmosphere and a chance to experience a five-hour float down the river over calm waters and class I-II rapids. The mouthwatering menu, cooked over the open fire by JJH chefs, adds the finishing touch.

Picnic: The JJH picnic is an annual event held in the late summer for all current employees, retirees and their families. The event usually features a fully catered meal along with JJH hats, shirts and giveaways for the entire family. Some of the picnic locations have included Lamb’s Farm, Kelly’s Kampground, Apple Holler, Lake Geneva Boat Ride, and Six Flags Great America.

Send-Off Lunches: Send-Off lunches are held for employees retiring or going back to school.

Golf Outings: Summer offers many project managers and marketing personnel the opportunity to take clients and prospects out for a game of golf, which provides an excellent opportunity to build and enhance customer relationships.

Special Outings: Periodically during the year, JJH offers special social events such as professional sporting events.
