| Description: |
Over 5,700 yards of heavily reinforced concrete were cast in place to create this new Wastewater Treatment facility. The new state of the art treatment facility is located on the same site as the existing plant, an 80 year old facility, which was completely operational during construction. Building construction was masonry with wooden trusses, housing new equipment controlled by a new computer SCADA system and Odor Control HVAC systems. This new facility serves 25% more residents than the existing facility. The design of this facility included NEW: administration building, maintenance building, headwork’s building, equipment building, aeration tanks, clarifiers, UV structure, gravity thickener and dewatering building and remodeled digesters. All new construction had to be meticulously co-ordinated with the engineer and Plant staff to maintain the current operations on this very tight site.
