The first ever joint contracting effort between NVAFAC Midwest and the VA. The project consisted of phased demolition and construction of four floors of an existing/operational VA hospital. All hospital functions remained live during construction.
Construction included new common areas, conference rooms and lounge areas, washroom facilities, dental and medical services facilities, examination rooms, and administrative offices.
Through precise scheduling/sequencing and careful coordination with the Owner and other contractors, maximum safety standards were maintained with minimal disruption to VA operations.
